From Palm Beach to Tunbridge Wells...

23 Aug 2006

Nick Parfitt joined our strategic business partners – Spa Communications – as an Account Executive in August 2006. Nick has worked in marketing, communications and research for over 20 years. After graduating from Oxford, Nick enjoyed stints in advertising, PR, journalism and market research.

He went to Queensland in 1987 only to discover that Brisbane wasn’t on the beach and that Ian Botham could not revive the fortunes of a flagging Queensland cricket team. In 1990 he formed his own company and for the next 15 years wove round Australia, Papua New Guinea and South East Asia researching and marketing tourism, charities, sports, agriculture, education, healthcare and technology, really anything that moved and a few things that didn’t (Uluru, the Barrier Reef, the 2006 Queensland Reds rugby union team).

In 2006 Nick realized he’d left the iron on and decided to return to the UK. His interests outside work include most things cultural, writing (he has contributed chapters and articles to a number of publications) and family (mostly his own).

His experience in research, marketing and communications enables us to offer clients even higher levels of service across a range of complementary marketing activities.
